Use the User Management page in the Sync Settings portal to review users and assign net2phone Sync licenses.
User Management controls which Sync license package is assigned to a user. It does not change the user’s Team Member role, extension, phone numbers, devices, PBX settings, or service configuration.
Requirements and notes
- You must be signed in as an Administrator to access User Management.
- The Role column on this page refers to the user’s assigned net2phone Sync license package.
- Changing the assigned license package in User Management does not change the user’s role in the Team Members section.
- To edit Team Member details, go to Company → Team Members.
Access User Management
User Management is available from the Sync Settings portal navigation menu.
- Log in to the Sync Settings portal as an Administrator.
- Click the User Management icon from the left navigation menu.
- Review the list of users in your organization.

Review users
The User Management page displays a searchable list of users in your organization.
Each user row includes the user’s name, email address, and assigned Sync license package. Users without an assigned Sync license package appear as Unassigned.

| Role | Displays the user’s assigned Sync license package. This does not change the user’s Team Member role. |
Search for a user
Use the search field to find a specific user by name or email address.
- Click the Search field.
- Enter the user’s name or email address.
- Review the filtered results.
Assign or change a Sync license
The license selected in User Management determines which net2phone Sync package is assigned to the user.
- Find the user you want to update.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Open the Role dropdown.
- Select the Sync license package you want to assign.
- Click Save.
Available Sync license groups
Available license groups may vary depending on your organization’s Sync package and enabled services. Learn how to verify your net2phone Canada Sync licenses.
Reset a user password
Administrators can start a password reset from the User Management edit window.
- Find the user you want to update.
- Click the Edit icon.
- Click Resend Welcome Email or Reset Password.
- The user will receive an email with instructions to reset their password.

⚠️ User Management does not update Team Member roles
The Role dropdown on the User Management page only assigns a Sync license package. It does not update the user’s Team Member role, extension, phone numbers, devices, PBX settings, or service configuration.
To modify Team Member settings, go to Company → Team Members.
Tips and troubleshooting
Review the following guidance if a user, license package, or related setting is not available.
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| A user is listed as Unassigned | The user does not currently have a Sync license package assigned. |
| A license package is not available | Confirm that the license package is enabled for your organization. |
| The user’s Team Member role did not change | Expected behaviour. User Management assigns Sync license packages only. Use Company → Team Members to edit Team Member roles and PBX settings. |
