Call parking allows you to place an active call into a temporary parking slot so it can be retrieved from another phone on the account.
How call parking works
Call parking uses feature codes to place a call into a temporary slot and retrieve it from another device.
- Dial #2 during an active call to park the call.
- The system will announce a park slot number (for example, 79001).
- To retrieve the call, dial #225 followed by the full announced slot number.
For example, if the system announces 79001, dial #22579001 to retrieve the call.
Requirements and notes
Please note the following requirements for Sync call parking.
- Call parking works only while you are connected to an active call.
- Wait for the system to announce the park slot before ending the call.
- The full announced slot number is required to retrieve the parked call.
- If the parked call is not retrieved, it will return to the original device after approximately 15 minutes.
Park an active call
Use the call park feature code while you are connected to an active call.
- While on an active call, dial #2 using your desk phone or the Sync dialpad.
- Wait for the system to announce the call park slot.
- Write down or remember the full slot number announced by the system.
For example, if the system announces 79001, that is the park slot number you will use to retrieve the call.
Retrieve a parked call
Retrieve the parked call by dialling the call retrieval feature code followed by the full park slot number.
- Dial #225, then enter the full park slot number announced by the system.
- Press Call.
For example, if the system announces 79001, dial #22579001 to retrieve the call.
